Perfect Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur Tour Itinerary

Here is the details, how I added Udaipur to my Golden Triangle Tour Itinerary India.

Day 1-2: Delhi: Where History Meets Chaos

My trip started in Delhi, India’s vibrant capital. The city is a mix of ancient monuments and modern life.

Highlights:

  • Red Fort: Walking through its massive gates felt like stepping into Mughal times.
  • Qutub Minar: The intricate carvings on this 73-meter tower left me amazed.
  • India Gate: Perfect for an evening stroll with street vendors selling yummy ice cream.
  • Chandni Chowk: The chaos, the smells, the flavors! I devoured buttery parathas at Paranthe Wali Gali.

Day 3: Agra: The City of the Taj Mahal

An early morning drive from Delhi brought me to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal at Sunrise

No words or pictures can do justice to its beauty. The white marble glowed in the morning light, and the reflection in the pool was surreal. I just sat there, soaking it all in.

Other Must-See Spots:

  • Agra Fort: A massive red sandstone fort with stunning views of the Taj.
  • Mehtab Bagh: A quiet garden across the river, perfect for sunset views.
  • Fatehpur Sikri (on the way to Jaipur): A ghost city with stunning architecture.

Day 4-5: Jaipur: The Pink City’s Grandeur

Next stop, Jaipur, the land of forts, palaces, and vibrant markets.

Amber Fort: A Royal Welcome

I took an elephant ride up to the fort (though jeeps are also available). The mirror work inside Sheesh Mahal was mind-blowing!

More Jaipur Gems:

  • Hawa Mahal: The “Palace of Winds” with its honeycomb windows.
  • City Palace: Still home to Jaipur’s royal family!
  • Jantar Mantar: Ancient astronomical instruments that still work!
  • Local Markets: I bought colorful bandhani scarves and handmade jewelry.

Day 6-7: Udaipur: Romance on the Lakes

The final (and my favorite) stop was Udaipur, the “Venice of the East.”

Boat Ride on Lake Pichola

As the sun set, I glided past the Jag Mandir and the stunning Lake Palace Hotel. The golden hues reflecting on the water made it look like a painting.

Udaipur’s Royal Treasures:

  • City Palace: Bigger and grander than Jaipur’s! The museum inside is fascinating.
  • Jagdish Temple: A peaceful spot with intricate carvings.
  • Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace): The panoramic view of Udaipur from here was unforgettable.

Why This Tour is Perfect

The Delhi Agra Jaipur Udaipur tour gave me everything, history, culture, delicious food, and breathtaking sights. Each city had its own charm, but Udaipur’s tranquil beauty stole my heart.
